Volunteer, tourist, friends, and supporters : the barriers between humanitarian tourism, cooperation, ordinary tourism, social work, a self-financing program...  These notions are difficult to distinguish.

  • To be a volunteer in CPCS means to give, to share, to offer, to learn, to observe, to feel, to live, to create, to become integrated etc.
  • To be a volunteer in CPCS means being involved and active in certain social activities, supporting the local staff.  More than enjoying pure holidays, the volunteer should be ready to carry some responsibilities and to bring a plus to the children and to the NGO.

This kind of experience is an unforgettable enrichment and human value and gets a lot out of it. Take part in this adventure, help to finance CPCS. Bear in mind that all our projects are not financed by the governments or international agencies of development. We solely depend upon foundations, small non-profit-making organizations and individual support. The survival of our projects depends on our capacity to gather support all over the world. That’s why we want you to contribute as well.

Our goal is to provide facilities for the volunteers and to make the most of their abilities. So the organization and the volunteer benefit from the exchange and this in mutual respect.

General conditions  :

  1. Be more than 18 years olds.
  2. Be self-sufficient and independent in order to be able to work at your best while taking the given instructions into account.
  3. Be prepared and take time before the trip in order to get to know the country, to read the background papers and to undertake to do fundraising (for the organization’s social projects).
  4. Be certain to be protected by a Social Security system that undertakes to reimburse medical expenses, repatriation and support (even in case of a conflict).  CPCS can not be held responsible for the acts of those taking part.
  5. Go to Nepal along with an active, respectful and social attitude.

Fund raising :

Our projects’ survival and autonomy depend on our capacity to put together our strength and different means all over the world.

More than 900 children benefit from the CPCS support. That’s the reason why raising funds is essential for us. We decided that our future CPCS volunteers should be involve in raising funds. To put it plainly, there’s a minimal amount every future volunteer has to raise before going to Nepal.

Let’s be frank: this should be regarded as a settlement and not as registration fees in order to become a member.  The fundraising is an essential part of our administration work and our teams. That’s why we consider that it is logic to integrate our future colleagues in this kind of work. By establishing a minimal amount of money we can consequently elaborate financial plans and thus reinforce the financial stability of the CPCS. Your personal finances should in no case act as a brake on your participation, but it goes without saying that you must cover your journey fees. But as far as the fundraising for CPCS is concerned, mobilize your family and friends: organize an event, contact local foundations, support clubs, scouts, etc.
